Flat Out Roofing Yorkshire ("we", "us", "our") operates this website. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, you can reach us at matt@flatoutroofingyorkshire.co.uk.
We only collect information you choose to give us, through the contact form on this site. That's your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, the subject you select, and whatever you write in your message. We don't collect anything else, and we don't track you while you browse.
We use the information you submit for one reason only: to reply to your enquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list, use it for marketing, or share it with any third party. Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries people send us directly.
This website doesn't use a database, and nothing you submit through the contact form is stored on the site itself. When you submit the form, it's sent directly to us by email, the same as if you'd emailed us yourself. From that point, it's held in our email inbox under our normal business email practices, and not used for anything beyond replying to you.
We don't use cookies for tracking, analytics or advertising, and this site doesn't have a cookie consent banner because there's nothing like that to consent to. The one exception is on our Gallery page, which uses a small, strictly necessary session cookie to keep the image order consistent while you're browsing between pages. It doesn't identify you, doesn't track you elsewhere, and is automatically deleted when you close your browser.
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When you visit, your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch those fonts, which involves your IP address being visible to Google in the same way it would be for any external resource. We don't control this data flow beyond choosing to use the service, and Google's own privacy policy applies to it.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Since we only hold what you've sent us by email to answer your enquiry, this is usually straightforward, just get in touch and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've handled your information incorrectly, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
